Familiarise yourself with the controls - check where the papers, lights, horn, mirrors, indicators, petrolcap, reverse gear, wipers (you never know) and panic button are....
Happy ? Let's go.

Follow the road's arrows out of the airport....

we drive on the right

...until you come to the main airport roundabout

Go anti-clockwise round roundabouts

Follow the signs for
Pto. del Rosario
Corralejo
You're about to join the motorway
Turn right and filter onto the motorway.

You're only on the motorway a couple of minutes

Turn Right at the sign for
Antigua
La Oliva
Corralejo
The final turn off sign doesn't say Corralejo.
Take it anyway.
The ringroad circles inland bypassing Puerto del Rosario.
You're now on a two-way road
Follow the signs to
La Oliva

until ..........
.......you see
(with relief)
the sign for Corralejo
Go straight through the roundabout at the petrol station
This is the last petrol station until Corralejo

You can relax for a while now - you'll stay on this road until Corralejo.

Welcome to
La Oliva
(county border)
After the Parque Hollandaise roundabout (go straight through) you'll see Red Mountain on your left.
Hereon the scenery improves greatly

You'll now be in the sand dune area - a national reserve
The first collection of buildings are not Corralejo. They're the suburbs of the two giant RIU hotels. Pass 'em by.
Cars do get stuck in the sand every day here.
On the outskirts of Corralejo you'll have to bear left at Las Agujas.

Turn right at the first roundabout

Drive slowly within town
and again right at the next roundabout
Follow the road
and turn right once more at the junction.
Give Way
You should now be on the Highstreet.
Welcome to Corralejo
